Simcenter 3D Rotor Dynamics
  • Simcenter 3D Rotor Dynamics
Simcenter 3D Rotor Modeling is a dedicated module for rotating devices like compressors, turbines, pumps, etc. whose dynamics are to be analyzed to comprehend rotor performance under different loads. Taking advantage of Simcenter 3D Engineering Desktop capabilities, Simcenter 3D Rotor Modeling allows to easily build rotors, bearings, and complicated assemblies for further solutions by Simcenter Nastran. A wide assortment of postprocessing tools includes Campbell diagrams, energies distributions, modes and deformed shapes animations, orbit plots, customized 3D visualization and more.

  • Simcenter Nastran Rotor is Simcenter Nastran Rotor SOL 414 solver required for Rotor Dynamics analysis. It can run solutions for maneuvers loads, complex modal and direct, synchronous or asynchronous harmonic, transient analyses to determine rotor performance and critical speeds, predict a blade-out event and find whirl frequencies to avoid possible failure. Multiple load types (unbalance, time-varying forces etc) allow analyzing rotating devices in different scenarios.
Due to efficient model reductions techniques such as Fourier multi-harmonic elements (1D, 2D harmonic and 3D rotors can be mixed), Cyclic symmetry, or Superelements, Simcenter Nastran Rotor provides faster FEA solution while keeping accuracy. Non-axisymmetric rotor, anisotropic bearings and anisotropic casing can be computed. Simcenter Nastran Rotor also accounts for geometric nonlinearities of connection elements, and the model can be solved in fixed or rotating coordinate reference systems.
